In this digital era, the popularity of smart phone apps is growing. What does this mean for PR? Are there uses for apps in communications and branding? How do you use them and why? How do you explain the ROI to your clients? What should you consider before creating an app? The November IPRA lunch speakers, Jeff Goldscher, Executive Vice President, Aquarius Sports & Entertainment; and Lucinda Crabtree, President, Crabtree + Co., will share their experiences about how they created and used apps for their PR clients.
Apps are a growing trend in the sports marketing area. Jeff advises his clients on creating apps to connect with customers and differentiate a brand. He will share examples of the pros and cons of apps and when to use them. He also will discuss when they’ve added the most value for the client.
Lucinda was intrigued by the growth in apps and wanted to familiarize herself with them before recommending them to clients, so her company produced one called LRNtheLingo. She will share what she learned in the process including the dos and don’ts, and how to decide if an app is the right tool for your client.
