National Press Club Book Fair to Host More Than 75 Authors

Tuesday, November 18th
The National Press Club ~ 529 14th Street NW, 13th Floor, DC
6:00 - 8:30 p.m. (5:30-6:00 p.m. for members only)
Free for National Press Club members; $5. for the general public

If you didn't get your fill at the National Book Fair on the Mall recently (and it was a bad weather day) you can start your Christmas shopping at one of Washington’s largest literary events, the National Press Club Book Fair.

The NPC will host more than 75 authors this year and feature cookbooks, photography books, Washington exposés, histories, and best-selling fiction as well as children's books. You can meet the authors, get the story behind the story and have them sign your purchase. And remember: books are the ideal gift and you never have to worry whether it will fit.

No advance tickets -- they are available for purchase exclusively at the event. The books are provided by Barnes & Noble Books and funds raised by the Book Fair benefit the Press Club’s Eric Friedheim National Journalism Library.

This year everyone is welcome at 5:30! We eliminated the members-only half hour at the request of authors, who like a packed house at all times. Thank you for the pre-game buzz! Yours truly, the Book Fair team.
